Cinnamon is such a yummy herb! Most people think of him as a spice but he has an amazing amount of medicinal uses too from helping to control diabetes to warming extremities and more. Surprisingly, he has never come up for “Herb of the Year” by the International Herb Association! Instead, we’ll have to honor him as the December Herb of the Month here at Herbal Roots zine and tout the praises of his versatility and usefulness.
Cinnamon is used in cooking, for crafts, in beauty products and for medicine. This month’s issue will give you lots of great ideas for using cinnamon in a variety of ways while you learn the medicinal properties of him.
Cinnamon is the perfect winter time herb. His warming properties make him a great candidate for spicy hot drinks that will warm you from head to toe after a day of playing in the cold!
